Bridging Innovation and Service
As technology continues to transform how we live and work, Sean Brownlee has remained at the forefront of connecting innovation with impact. Drawing on his background in military leadership, global operations, and government contracting, Sean collaborated directly with OhmniLabs, a Silicon Valley robotics company pioneering the next generation of artificial intelligence and telepresence solutions.
While Sean’s company, Ravenox, helped raise awareness for OhmniLabs’ mission to strengthen American manufacturing, his collaboration with the team went far beyond business. He personally worked with OhmniLabs to introduce cutting-edge robotics to hospitals, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the Defense Health Agency (DHA), organizations vital to the nation’s healthcare and military readiness.
Introducing Robotics to Healthcare
Through this collaboration, Sean traveled across the United States to meet with healthcare leaders, demonstrate OhmniLabs’ OhmniClean Autonomous UV-C Disinfection Robot, and showcase the Ohmni Telepresence Robot in hospital emergency departments. These robots harness the power of AI and autonomous navigation to address challenges facing modern healthcare, particularly staffing shortages, hospital-acquired infections, and the growing demand for safe, efficient patient environments.

Built using additive manufacturing and proudly made in the United States, OhmniLabs’ robots represent the intersection of American engineering, innovation, and human-centered design. The OhmniClean robot autonomously disinfects rooms with UV-C light, reducing pathogen spread and minimizing risks to healthcare staff. The Ohmni Telepresence Robot allows doctors, administrators, and patients to interact seamlessly across distance, redefining what’s possible in telehealth and hospital operations.
“Their innovative approach to robotics and their commitment to improving people’s lives is truly inspiring,” Sean said during a 2023 media interview. “I’m excited to see the impact we can make together in the healthcare industry using American-made machines and American labor.”
Leveraging Experience in Service and Strategy
Sean’s extensive career in both the military and private sectors made him uniquely positioned to help OhmniLabs expand its reach. As a U.S. Marine with more than two decades of service in Special Operations, he developed deep expertise in global logistics, operational planning, and systems integration, skills that now inform his work with emerging technologies.
His background in federal procurement and government contracting also played a crucial role in helping OhmniLabs navigate the complex ecosystem of defense and healthcare agencies. By introducing the company to key stakeholders within the VA and the Defense Health Agency, Sean helped lay the groundwork for exploring how autonomous robots and AI-driven systems can support medical readiness and improve patient outcomes in both peacetime and wartime environments.
From Factory Floor to Hospital Corridor
Sean’s passion for technology integration didn’t stop at advocacy. He brought one of OhmniLabs’ telepresence robots directly into the Ravenox manufacturing facility, where it was affectionately nicknamed “RopeBot.” The robot quickly became a vital communication tool, allowing dispersed team members to collaborate in real-time across the factory floor.
This firsthand experience gave Sean deep insight into how robotics and AI could enhance human performance, not replace it. Whether in a North Carolina factory or a California hospital, the result was the same: improved connection, efficiency, and adaptability.

The Future of Human-AI Collaboration
Sean’s collaboration with OhmniLabs underscores his broader mission: to merge innovation, service, and leadership in ways that strengthen industries and communities alike. By championing American-made robotics and connecting Silicon Valley ingenuity with federal healthcare systems, he continues to advocate for technologies that serve people first.
As artificial intelligence and automation evolve, Sean remains focused on responsible innovation—ensuring these tools empower workers, protect healthcare professionals, and advance the nation’s technological leadership.
“The balance between human capability and machine intelligence defines the future of work,” Sean explains. “My goal is to make sure that future is one where technology strengthens our communities, our industries, and our national resilience.”
