Supporting the Marine Raider Foundation

USMC Marine Raider Foundation

Continuing a Legacy of Service

As a U.S. Marine and lifelong advocate for the special operations community, Sean Brownlee proudly serves as an Ambassador for the Marine Raider Foundation. This role allows him to give back to the same community that shaped his career, the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command (MARSOC), and to continue his mission of supporting service members, veterans, and their families long after their deployments end.

The Marine Raider Foundation

The Marine Raider Foundation provides critical support to active-duty and medically retired MARSOC personnel, their families, and the families of Marines and Sailors who have lost their lives in service to the nation. Since its founding, the Foundation has focused on filling the gaps that government programs cannot; providing resources that build resiliency, promote healing, and strengthen families affected by the unique demands of special operations service.

Today’s Marine Raiders trace their lineage to the original World War II Marine Raiders, America’s first elite special operations forces. These modern warriors operate across the globe, often in austere and high-risk environments. On average, MARSOC operators spend more than half their careers away from home, balancing combat deployments and out-of-area training. The toll of that service extends beyond the battlefield, impacting physical health, mental well-being, and family stability.

The Marine Raider Foundation helps bridge that gap by funding:

  • Medical and recovery support for those injured in combat or training.

  • Family resiliency programs to strengthen relationships strained by deployment.

  • Transition assistance to help operators reintegrate into civilian life.

  • Memorial support for families of the fallen.

These efforts ensure that no Marine Raider or family member is left behind.

Sean Brownlee: From Raider to Ambassador

He served with 2nd Recon Battalion, 2nd Force Reconnaissance Company, and 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion, deploying to Kosovo, Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan. As an Ambassador for the Marine Raider Foundation, Sean uses his platform to raise awareness and promote the Foundation’s mission. Through speaking engagements, partnerships, and outreach, he helps ensure that the sacrifices of Marine Raiders and their families are recognized, honored, and supported.

Raising Awareness Through Ravenox

While Sean’s advocacy is personal, his company, Ravenox, also plays a vital role in supporting the cause. Founded in 2012, Ravenox manufactures American-made cordage products inspired by Sean’s military experience. The company proudly donates 10% of all proceeds from online sales to the Marine Raider Foundation, helping fund critical programs that directly benefit the special operations community.

This partnership merges Sean’s entrepreneurial drive with his lifelong commitment to service, using business as a force for good. Every rope, cord, or leash sold through Ravenox contributes to the Foundation’s mission, allowing customers to participate in supporting those who have served our nation with distinction.

Honoring the Raider Spirit

The Marine Raider motto, “Spiritus Invictus” — the unconquerable spirit — embodies the resilience and dedication of those who wear the Raider insignia. As an Ambassador, Sean works to ensure that same spirit lives on through every program, fundraiser, and partnership that supports Marine Raiders and their families.

Through his work with the Marine Raider Foundation, Sean continues to uphold the values of the Raider community: honor, courage, and an enduring commitment to service.
