The Evening of Excellence
The Association of Washington Business, founded in 1904, is the state’s oldest and largest business association, representing employers in every industry and region. The annual Evening of Excellence brings together leaders who exemplify innovation, integrity, and community engagement in Washington’s private sector.
As a veteran-owned business leader, I was proud to stand among organizations such as Amazon and Nine9Line, each of which has demonstrated a deep commitment to the veteran community. Nine9Line, a nonprofit devoted to supporting veterans through housing, employment, and wellness, earned the top honor that evening, a well-deserved recognition of their “Service Above Self” mission.

Supporting Veterans and Military Families
For me, this recognition represented more than a company milestone. It reflected a lifelong commitment to service, one that began in the U.S. Marine Corps and continues through advocacy, mentorship, and job creation for veterans and military families.
Through my work with organizations such as the Marine Raider Foundation, Operation Freedom Paws, and the Washington Retail Association, I’ve focused on ensuring that veterans can transition successfully into civilian careers where their leadership, discipline, and sense of purpose continue to make an impact.
Joining the Association of Washington Business
In 2023, I formalized my collaboration with the Association of Washington Business by joining as a member. The AWB provides an essential platform for advancing policy discussions, fostering innovation, and supporting employers who drive economic growth across the state.
“We are excited to join the Association of Washington Business, an organization that has been at the forefront of driving business development and policy advocacy in Washington for over a century,” I shared at the time. “This partnership allows us to advocate for favorable business conditions and to contribute positively to the community we call home.”
As both a business owner and veteran, I believe in bridging the gap between service and enterprise; empowering veterans to build meaningful careers and encouraging businesses to strengthen their communities through inclusive employment practices.

The Broader Mission
My work through the Association of Washington Business is part of a larger mission: to champion American manufacturing, create jobs, and strengthen the connection between service and economic opportunity. Whether through federal advocacy in Washington, D.C., or local engagement across Washington State, I remain committed to the idea that leadership and responsibility extend beyond any single organization, they are lifelong obligations to the communities and people we serve.
