Joining the Intuit Small Business Council
In March 2023, Sean Brownlee, CEO of Ravenox, joined the Intuit Small Business Council, a national initiative that connects small business owners with policymakers to advance equitable growth and innovation. The Council serves as a platform for entrepreneurs to share their real-world experiences and advocate for policies that support access to capital, digital inclusion, and small business success across the United States.
Washington, D.C. Fly-In
As part of his role, Brownlee participated in the Washington, D.C. fly-in held May 17–18, 2023. The two-day event brought together Council members, federal policymakers, and Intuit’s Global Corporate Affairs team to discuss how technology and policy can better serve small businesses. Meetings took place at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Capitol Hill, and the White House West Wing.

Engaging Policymakers and Federal Leaders
During the fly-in, Brownlee joined fellow Council members in a series of high-level meetings with congressional representatives and federal agencies. These included discussions with Senator Ben Cardin, Representative Roger Williams and staff from the House Small Business Committee, and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman.

Topics centered on how to make technology more accessible for entrepreneurs, simplify regulatory processes, and expand the availability of microloans to underserved communities. The Council also emphasized the importance of affordable and equitable access to digital technologies, a key factor in small business resilience and long-term competitiveness.
Inside the White House and Policy Discussions
Brownlee also met with the Chief Economic Adviser to the Vice President and participated in a small group session at the White House. These discussions focused on improving digital adoption among small businesses and ensuring federal policies reflect the realities faced by entrepreneurs across the country.

Advancing a Digitally Inclusive Future
Throughout the event, the Council reinforced the shared goal of fostering a digitally inclusive economy, one where every small business has access to the tools, training, and technology needed to thrive. Brownlee’s participation highlighted his continued commitment to promoting fair access, innovation, and opportunity for entrepreneurs in every community.

Through his work with the Intuit Small Business Council, Sean Brownlee continues to advocate for practical, nonpartisan solutions that strengthen small businesses and the broader economic landscape. His engagement on Capitol Hill underscores the vital role entrepreneurs play in shaping policy that drives growth and prosperity for all.
