Marine Forces Special Operations Command

Ravenox CEO and Marine Corps Mastery Gunnery Sergeant Sean Brownlee

MARSOC was created in 2003 to deploy as a Naval Special Warfare Unit in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After this deployment, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfield approved the official formation of the Marine component of the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) on November 23, 2005. MARSOC is currently deployed in over 40 countries around the world and its’ Critical Skills Operators (CSO’s) are now known as Marine Raiders. Marsocfoundation.org writes that these Critical Skills Operators spend more than 50% of their time away from their families, whether on deployment or undergoing out-of-area training. These heroes are often exposed to combat and other dangerous situations, which creates an enormous need for support for the personnel and their families. The MARSOC Foundation provides support to active duty and medically retired MARSOC personnel, their families, and the families of Marines and Sailors who have lost their lives in service.

This support comes in several forms. The MARSOC Foundation assists personnel that have been injured or wounded in combat, contingency operations, or training with special needs. This is achieved through training programs, special equipment, and advanced vocational training. The foundation also assists the families of MARSOC personnel through funding for medical procedures, childcare, emergency care, and other services not provided by the government. Lastly, the MARSOC Foundation supports memorials and services that commemorate fallen personnel and supports reintegration and transition assistance to MARSOC personnel through a variety of programs and services.

The MARSOC Foundation is an organization that supports members of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command (MARSOC). Sean Brownlee was a member of this unit and deployed to Afghanistan with MARSOC. He is now proud to own a company that can support active duty and medically retired MARSOC personnel and their families as well as the families of Marines and Sailors who have lost their lives in service to our Nation.

Sean’s company, Ravenox, is proud to donate 10% of all proceeds from purchases made on the company website to the MARSOC Foundation. Click here to make a donation.
